Terms & Conditions

Welcome to R4 Recycled Skips. By hiring a skip bin from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure safe, fair, and professional service for all our customers.

1. Payment

Payment for skip bin hire is required prior to or upon delivery of the bin.

If fees aren't paid in full, the contents of the bin will still be property of the hirer.

​

2. Hire Period

The standard hire period is 7 days, unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Extended hire periods can be organised upon request and will incur additional charges of $10 per day or $40 per week.

3. Restricted Waste

The following items must not be placed in the bin:​

  • Asbestos or hazardous materials

  • Gas bottles, fire extinguishers or pressurised containers

  • Food products or kitchen waste

  • Polystyrene

  • Liquids and paint

  • Wet plaster, wet cement, wet concrete (put them in a container to dry before putting in the skip)

  • Tyres

  • Dead animals or faecal matter

4. Bin Placement and Access

Bin placement is at the driver’s discretion, in line with safety and liability requirements.
If a permit is required to place a bin on a public roadway or nature strip, the customer must obtain it.
Please ensure clear access for delivery and collection at all times.

5. Use of the Bin

  • Do not move the bin once placed.

  • No fires are to be lit in or near the bin.

  • Do not overfill the bins, must be filled no higher than level with the top of the walls.

  • Overfilled bins may not be collected until excess waste is removed. Additional costs will be incurred.

6. Responsibility and Liability

Once delivered, the hirer is responsible for the bin and its contents until collection.
The bin must be available for pickup on the agreed collection date.
While all due care is taken, R4 Recycled Skips accepts no responsibility for any property damage once the truck has entered the premises.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before delivery may be eligible for a refund or credit.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of delivery may incur a cancellation fee.

  • No refunds are available once the bin has been delivered.

8. Overweight Loads

Each skip has a maximum weight limit depending on size and waste type.
Overweight bins may incur additional disposal or transport fees.
If a bin is too heavy to lift safely, the customer may need to remove excess waste before collection.

9. Additional Fees

Extra charges may apply for:

  • Extended hire periods

  • Restricted or prohibited items found in the bin

  • Failed delivery or collection due to site access issues

​

10. Safety

Please ensure the bin is loaded safely and evenly, with no compaction.
Keep children and pets away from bins at all times.
R4 Recycled Skips reserves the right to refuse collection of unsafe or overloaded bins.

By hiring a skip bin from R4 Recycled Skips, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
